2010 ~ Year of the Tiger
This year started out with a rush of projects and positivity for the coming year! A great change from the doom and gloom of 2009. Here's a rundown of what's been happening in 2010:
- We've had several new signups every week for Porn CMS plus half a dozen major site migration projects. To me this shows that site owners have a positive outlook for the year! Its also been great for the CMS, allowing us to expand our server count and fund further development. The CMS now has live member cams, which has attracted dozens of solo models to the software. If all goes well, we are planning to launch an open source version of the software by the end of the year, allowing developers to build their own modules. I think this will enable exponential growth of the software. I'll post here when the open source version goes live!
- I partnered with a UK software company to form a new paysite marketing business called Market Mofo (www.MarketMofo.com). With an estimated 2-3 million porn related pages on the Internet, the adult industry is over-saturated with competition. Many of these competitors run free sites offering hours of full length movies to their visitors at no charge. In fact, several of the top 500 sites on Alexa's Global Top List are free adult video sites. We expect to see heavy growth with Market Mofo over the next 1-2 years as paysite owners try to pull users away from these free sites. Currently, we are focusing on adult site marketing with plans to enter the mainstream arena by mid-year. Our current projects include development and management of a network of Blogs, several affiliate cash sites, and many promotional design projects.
- Although I usually list my personal life items last in my History log, the most important thing that's happening this year is that my wife and I are expecting a baby boy. We've picked the name Lucas (after George Lucas) and we should be seeing him in July. I'll post massive amounts of pictures and updates about that on Facebook. Just click the link and add me.
