2008 ~ Year of the Rat "The Rat was welcomed in ancient times as a protector and bringer of material prosperity" (wikipedia). That's good news for my clients since I plan to help bring them all more wealth this year. Of course I do that every year, but in 2008 I'm extremely focused on promotional efforts including viral marketing, social networking, cross-selling and email communication. I started 2008 with a couple new clients. The first one is a Gen-X style online magazine (Maja Magazine) that hopes to be a top alternative to mainstream glam magazines like Maxim & Esquire. Their articles, photos, and general attitude is much more down to earth and in touch with today's 18-25 year olds. The business plan is pretty unique in that the site itself will be free to visitors. They will be selling copies of the PDF e-zine and some other hard goods as a revenue source. They'll also be offering advertising spots and some cross-selling opportunities. Much of the last half of the year was spent developing my new CMS (PornCMS.com). I took all the best elements of the content management systems I've coded over the last several years and combined them into a beautiful, clean and very easy to use adult site CMS. Built from the ground up with NO database! The big breakthrough was the inclusion of automated video conversions. Every other adult CMS available requires users to convert/split videos on their own and then upload each clip. My system takes a raw video and creates clips and full videos in WMV, AVI, MOV, FLV and iPod. All configurable in the CMS. Plus I added many other options to help clients run a successful porn site. By the end of 2008 there were already over 20 very happy site owners using the system. |
