2005 ~ Year of the Rooster It was a very push year, with lots of heavy programming. I spent most of 2005 developing the back-office system for 1-800-Luggage.com . That project allowed me to learn about the retail trade. It also gave me the chance to build a system strong enough for a small staff of salespeople to process hundreds of orders per day without breaking a sweat. Around mid-year I cashed out my options with Hegre Studios and helped them find a qualified webmaster to replace me. Before I left, I completed their content management system and designed training tools for my replacement. Later in the year I began the Cardiac Atlas project with my Flash cohort Jason. He designed a slideshow maker that resembles Powerpoint and runs on a site as Flash. That project will round out once they get all of the cases loaded into our content admin. I also moved my office to Buffalo, which is a great place for a webmaster. Remote enough for everyday work and an airport big enough to travel anywhere.
