The profit-sharing I earned while working for Hegre allowed me to move back to the states and work from home. Most of the year was dedicated to developing Hegre's content management system and promoting the site through online channels and email.
 
Hegre's site continued to gain notoriety and revenue increased, even as the rest of the adult industry began to slow. Consumers were beginning to show they preferred high quality erotica over the smut that was filling the net.
 
For most of the year I lived on a mountaintop in West Virginia, where the air was crisp & clean and the views were spectacular.
